Тема: Телемост "Екатеринбург - Лондон»"

Задачи урока:

  • обучающие – активизация лексических единиц по теме, изучение новых разговорных клише и речевых оборотов, совершенствование грамматических навыков;

  • развивающие – расширение кругозора, знакомство с историей и достопримечательностями родного края, развитие творческих способностей учащихся, формирование и развитие навыков аудирования, чтения, устной речи;

  • воспитательные – воспитание чувства гражданственности и любви к своей Родине, толерантности и уважения к другой стране;

  • развитие умений и навыков проектной деятельности, использование ее результатов для урока.

Ход урока:

I. Организационный момент

  • Good morning, boys and girls! Sit down, please.

I’m glad to see you. How are you today?

  • Who is on duty today?

  • What is the date today?

  • Who is absent today?

  • Let’s start our lesson now.

  • Today we’ll talk about English city London and our native city Yekaterinburg. As you know London is the capital of the UK and as for our city people sometimes say that Yekaterinburg is the third capital after Moscow and St. Petersburg.

II. Развитие произносительных навыков.

And the first task for you is pronunciation. Please look at the blackboard.

Let’s read the words in transcription on the topic “London and Yekaterinburg”.

Can you guess their meaning?

III. Речевая разминка (актуализация навыков вопросно-ответной работы).

I want to ask you some questions.

  • Is London an old city? How old is it? And how old is our city?

  • Is London big? Is it bigger than Yekaterinburg?

  • What river does London stand on? And what about our river?

  • What is the main square in London? – In Yekaterinburg?

  • What is the name of the famous clock in London? (Its name is Big Ben.)

  • Does the Queen of Britain live in the Tower? (No, she doesn’t 't.)

- Where does the coronation of all British Kings and Queens take place? (It is symbol of England. The coronation of all British Kings and Queens takes place in Westminster Abbey. Some famous people are buried there.)

  • What places in London do you like to visit?

IV. Активизация аудитивных и лексических навыков.

Will you open your books, page 69, ex. 26. You’ll listen to the sentences and complete them. You can see the first letters of the missing words.

V. Развитие навыков чтения.

I want you to open your books, page 71, ex. 32. Read the adverts for visitors to London and translate them. You will have the same task at home. You’ll write your own advertisement for visitors to your city.

VI. Закрепление лексики по теме.

And now please open your exercise books. Let’s make an exercise in written form.

You should split different places of interest in two columns. The first one is Yekaterinburg and the second one is London. Please fill in the table and then we’ll check it.
